Origin
This initiative arises from the concern to act before the closure of the Second Unit Francisco Vincenty school in the Bucarabones neighborhood of Maricao. Francisco Vincenty School was closed by the Department of Education because of low enrollment.

The repositioning of the Second Unit Francisco Vincenty school as a platform for social relations and connectivity (social and economic hub) will be a great help to create a proactive community in favor of agriculture in Maricao and its surrounding neighborhoods in the coffee producing regions.
Vision
Fundación Bucarabón intends to meet the needs of the community, with particular emphasis on the empowerment and inclusion of women. We do this by providing education and training services for the development of human capital, business development to promote the creation of employment, and other formulas to generate income and strengthening value-added production chains that benefit farmers in this area and surrounding communities.
